Physical Security
Physical security is comprised of features used to deter
criminal activity. These may be part of the architectural design of
a building. They also may surround the building.
Of course, physical security does not only apply to buildings. Any
other physical region may require such items. It also may be used to
protect information supplied upon physical media. The term can be used
in a variety of ways.
Common elements of physical security include locks, which range in
their complexity. Fences are another example of such security. Other
elements include alarm systems, lighting, and security guards.
