Security cameras come in many different styles. These are designed to suit different needs as well as different price ranges. Other factors used to determine the best model for a particular application include the weather of the area and which time of day the camera should be optimized.

Dome, bullet, infrared, and c-mount are a few different types of security cameras. The bullet styles are the most popular. They are particularly durable and often come with all the necessary installation supplies.

C-mount security cameras may be fitted with many different lens. A varifocal lens is a very useful option as it is capable of focusing at many different distances. Unlike the bullet camera, these do not include particularly durable casing. This means that additional housing will often be required for outdoor use of c-mounts.
